IRS Inspector General: Not a Single Employee at the Cincinatti Office Will Say Who Ordered the Targeting

I suppose we already knew this, by implication — after all, no one had reported who had ordered the targeting, so it’s safe to assume that no one would say.

But the IG has made this explicit. The IRS is observing the mafia code of omerta.

As DeNiro said in Goodfellas: Everyone gets pinched sometimes. The important thing is to give nothin’ to he cops.

IRS employees interviewed during a Treasury inspector general’s audit would not say who ordered them to target conservative groups, the inspector general told members of Congress on Monday.
And I see now, looking at Liz’s post, that Holder’s observing omerta as well.
