Congress is still not sure what is going with their healthcare plans. A staffer from an Senate office, which asked me not to reveal his or her name, including the name of the Senator, sent me over this response to my question as to whether or not they were going to take the Obamacare exemption.
“Sen. XXXX opposes the decision OPM made, but the bottom line is we have no idea how it’s going to work. Senate staff still has to use the exchanges, so we’re def not exempt from that.”
I also reached out to Rubio and his communications team about a rumor I heard that his Senate office was going to accept the exemption. So far, no response.
