Rooney Family Doesn’t See Eye-to-Eye On Obamacare

The famed Rooney family, with deep roots in Republican politics and owners of the Pittsburgh Steelers, is at odds with one of their very own family members, Dan Rooney, an executive with the football team.

Florida Congressman Tom Rooney (R), who has been vocal about his opposition to Obamacare, said “No, he is wrong,” when asked about what he thought about his relative’s support for the disastrous Obamacare law. According to Representative Rooney, Dan Rooney, who was President Obama’s former ambassador to Ireland, is the only Rooney that is openly supportive of the President’s Obamacare law.

A couple of weeks ago, Rooney partnered up and joined U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, for a “Affordable Care Act education and enrollment event” on Heinz Field.

Sebelius addressed a sad crowd of 100, admitting that there were “some early glitches” in the roll out of the healthcare law.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently 2-4, and at the bottom of the AFC North standings. Ouch!
