Jeffrey Corzine Dead From "Apparent Suicide" in Mexican Hotel

Amid reports that he had recently been working as a drug counselor, The New York Post is reporting that son of former NJ Gov. Jon Corzine was found dead from an apparent suicide in a Mexico City hotel.

At 31, Jeffrey Corzine was the youngest of Corzine’s three children with his ex-wife Joanne.

The son of former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine killed himself in a Mexico City hotel, sources told The Post on Thursday.

The Post also reported that Jeffrey Corzine was described as depressed and had been drinking heavily recently. According to previous statements from his family, he was thought to have been “clean” and “doing well” until now.

The younger Corzine had a history of substance-abuse problems and had been in and out of rehab, sources said. But he had been living in California and working as a drug counselor, and had appeared to have turned his life around, one source said.
