Obama: History Moves In All Directions – Backwards, Forwards and Sideways!

If you thought history was the study of past events, apparently you need to expand your mind and broaden your horizons. 

In a speech today, the president suggested that history is like a time machine or spaceship that goes backwards and forwards and even side to side. 

People are scratching their heads at what this even means.

President Obama: “We are here today because we know we cannot be complacent. History travels not only forwards, but backwards and sideways.”
