‘Good thing she didn’t play softball like I did,’ quipped former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when a show was tossed at her during a speech before the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino in Las Vegas.
Clinton ducked and appeared un-hit by the object and it remains unclear as to what led to the woman tossing a shoe. Security ushered the woman away and reported that she would be arrested.
‘Is that somebody throwing something at me?’ Clinton asked, according to the Review-Journal. ‘Is that part of Cirque du Soleil?’
An Iraqi reporter had previously hurled a pair of shoes at then Preisdent George W. Bush during a visit to Iraq while he was in office.
Today’s event occurred as Hillary has been traveling to give paid speeches and meeting with important Democratic Party constituents in anticipation of a 2016 run for the presidency.
