Some new words have been added to the American lexicon thanks to the serial lies and insults of embattled ObamaCare architect Jonathan Gruber.
To “gruber” is to lie to someone because you think they’re too dumb to know any different. It is to insult your own base because they have proved so easy to deceive in the past.
“Grubering” is the act of brainstorming for new ways to fool the voters.
A “gruberism” is a lie told by a Democrat politician that is so brazen, so hackish, so unbelievable, it reveals a complete contempt on the part of the politician toward his supporters.
As Rush Limbaugh is fond of saying, liberals wake up every morning and ask themselves, “how can we fool them, today?”
Democrats have long had contempt for their own voters, but we never had a name for it until know so thanks to ObamaCare Architect Johnathan Gruber.
“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really really critical for the thing to pass,” said Gruber in the recently released bombshell video of a University of Pennsylvania panel he was on in October, 2013.
Since yesterday, two more examples of Gruber insulting the American voter has come out, and no doubt more will be discovered – perhaps before the day is through.

On Tuesday’s broadcast of “The Kelly File” on the Fox News Channel, a new clip of ObamaCare architect of Jonathan Gruber saying that “American voters are too stupid to understand the difference” of the language of the ObamaCare legislation.

“It’s a very clever, you know, basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter,” Gruber, an economist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said during a speech at the University of Rhode Island in November 2012.He was discussing what is known as the Cadillac tax and how it came into being.
God only knows how many times and in how many ways this man has made clear on tape how much contempt he has for American voters. But one thing is for sure – he wasn’t speaking to conservatives who opposed ObamaCare and were never fooled by the lies. Conservatives were appalled by the deceptive nature of the bill from the very beginning and made their displeasure known in massive protests and town halls. Gruber was talking about Democrat-leaning voters in these videos. Those are the people who should feel insulted and betrayed.
One particular voter who felt that betrayal is Rich Weinstein, “a mild mannered investment advisor” who was shocked when wasn’t able to keep his insurance after being promised by the president countless times that he would be able to keep his plan, PERIOD.
Weinstein happens to be the guy who exposed Gruber’s lies: “He’s also behind a series of scoops that could convince the Supreme Court to dismantle part of the Affordable Care Act.”
Weinstein has absorbed hours upon hours of interviews with Jonathan Gruber, an MIT professor who advised the Massachusetts legislature when it created “Romneycare” and the Congress when it created “Obamacare.” Conservatives had been looking for ways to demonstrate that the wording of the ACA denied insurance subsidies to consumers in states that did not create their own health exchanges. Weinstein found a clip of Gruber suggesting that states that did not create health insurance exchanges risked giving up the ACA’s subsidies; it went straight into the King v. Burwell brief, and into a case that’s currently headed to the Supreme Court.
Once upon a time, the media actually did this kind of work.
