Texas Man Used Public Library for Child Porn

MCALLEN, Texas — An Texas border man will spend 30 years in prison for using  the El Paso Public Library to download and exchange pornographic photographs of 8-year-old girls with various individuals.

On Friday, 34-year-old Berry Jay Miller from El Paso went before U.S District Judge Kathleen Cardone who handed down the sentence.

The case against Miller began in February when he entered a chat room and spoke with an undercover agent in Washington, D.C. about child porn, according to court records obtained by Breitbart Texas. During the conversation, Miller, who went by the screen name Pedo-Cowboy, sent the undercover agent some photos showing various girls who were three years old and some who were 8 years old.

Court records show that Miller told the agent that he was a registered sex offender and in addition to giving him his full name he even sent him a picture of himself.

The undercover agent was able to trace the email account and the username to El Paso Public Library where Miller would go to use the computers on a regular basis.

Miller had a state conviction for online solicitation of a minor from 2006 and another for indecency with a child in 2001 a time in which the victim was younger than 8-years-old, according to court records.

On August 11, Miller went before Judge Cordone and pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography charges.
