HOUSTON, Texas — An eleven month old boy is missing after his mother was found stuffed in a refrigerator. Police have issued an Amber Alert for the missing boy who is presumed to be with his father.
The mother was found dead, stuffed in the refrigerator of her Southwest Houston apartment on Monday according to an article in the Houston Chronicle. Police are searching for the boy, Achilles Lambert and his father Patrick Lambert.
Law enforcement officials concluded the dead woman is the boy’s mother from evidence at the scene, but it is not known if she is married to the father.
Maintenance workers found the body after responding to a complaint about a strong odor. The power was off inside the unit. She lived at the apartment for about six months.
No cause of death or motive is known at this time.
“We’ve been unable to contact any family to help see if the child is with anybody else,” said Sgt. Jason Robles, a detective with the Houston Police Homicide Division.
Police are requesting anyone with information about this case to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers at 713222-TIPS.
