Most CA-33 Candidates To Participate in Internet Debate Saturday

Thirteen of the eighteen candidates in the crowded race for California’s 33rd District Congressional seat will participate in an unusual online debate on Saturday, May 10, according to the Daily Breeze.

The debate will be hosted by “The Young Turks,” a Web series broadcast on YouTube, and will be moderated by former Current TV and MSNBC commentator Cenk Uygur, according to the report.

Most of the top contenders in the race will be present for the debate, including Independent Marianne Williamson, Democrat Matt Miller, and Republican Elan Carr. Notably, Wendy Greuel and Ted Lieu, the Democratic establishment favorites, are not expected to participate.
