On Saturday, according to Los Angeles-area CBS News affiliate KCAL-9, an Encino deer hopped a 7-foot fence around a homeowner’s property and proceeded to land right in the swimming pool. And that’s where the buck stopped.
Trapped in the pool cover, the deer thrashed about before neighbors, who nicknamed the buck “King,” could help pull the cover away–at which point the deer tried repeatedly to hop from the pool, unsuccessfully. Finally, the deer jumped out and made a break for freedom.
At that point, Animal Control shot him with a tranquilizer gun.
Tough bucking day for the deer.
