Man Beaten after Angel Playoff Game was a Former Police officer

The 43-year-old man that was assaulted on Friday at an Angel Stadium parking lot in Anaheim has now been identified as a former LAPD officer.

Breitbart News reported on Tuesday, that the Huntington Beach man was in critical condition on Sunday after he was attacked and severely beaten by three men after Friday night’s playoff game between the Angels of Anaheim and the Kansas City Royals.

According to the Orange County Register, he remains hospitalized, however, his condition has been upgraded from critical to serious. On Monday, Los Angeles police officials confirmed that the man, whose name has not been released, left the department in 2012.

The Police offered information– that up until now has not been released– that the men had attended the game and that both the victims and the alleged assailants may have been intoxicated.

Anaheim police Lt. Bob Dunn said that the victim and a relative were walking to their car and before they got to the vehicle, they were attacked by three men. “It seems as though one of the three suspects was the primary aggressor and the others were there in some capacity,” Dunn said.

The Register reported that the attackers, described only as men, ran away, leaving the victim unconscious. The victim was taken to a nearby trauma center in critical condition.
