Tuesday afternoon part of Los Angeles International Airport closed down because  a suspicious device was found inside luggage at Terminal 4 which is part of American Airlines.

Two bomb squad vehicles arrived shortly after the device was found according to a report by CBS Los Angeles. As of 4:30 p.m., KCAL 9’s Stu Mundel reported that traffic was again moving smoothly at Lax.

“We did see a lot of people walking back inside Terminal 4 so we believe that it’s probably de-escalated quite a bit,” Mundel said.

“A large police presence was still out here at the airport,” the reporter added.

A command post has been set-up at the airport, yet no arrests have been made so far.
