El Salvadorian Gang Member to be Deported Without Prosecution

Report: More illegal immigrants caught at border came from outside Mexico
San Diego, CA

An MS-13 gang member attempted to sneak into the United States from Mexico near the Calexico, California Port of Entry on Friday. Border Patrol Agents saw the El Salvadorian national before apprehending the individual as he crossed illegally into the U.S.

Gang-affiliated tattoos alerted agents, who further questioned 35-year old Hugo Guevarra, who openly admitted his affiliation with the notorious Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) criminal street gang.

A representative with the El Sentro Sector Border Patrol office informed Breitbart California that based on the gang member’s criminal record, “He did not meet the guidelines for prosecution.” Instead, “he is being sent back to El Salvador,” through standard deportation processing.

This means after Border Patrol processing the MS-13 member will be transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for further processing, removal from the United States and return to El Salvador.

A historical tally for fiscal years 1960 through 2014 was included along with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection release regarding the gang member apprehension. Apprehensions are less than half the level reached in 2006, but have increased over the past three years.
