On May 11 a woman in Chico, CA used a BB gun to shoot a former boyfriend and stop him from allegedly attacking her.
The incident took place around 3:40 p.m.
According to the Oroville Mercury-Register, the woman shot her former boyfriend “three times at an apartment on West Sacramento Avenue near Warner Street.” The BB gun left the boyfriend with “minor injuries” — which police described as “superficial” — but which were sufficient to stop the alleged attack.
Police say the woman used the BB gun in self-defense.
The former boyfriend will likely face charges for “suspicion of domestic violence.”
Police have not released the name of the man or the woman involved in the incident.
