A rookie named Levi made his debut in Petco Park last night.
We welcomed a baby boy to the world in Palm Court Plaza earlier this evening. First baby to be born at Petco Park!

The mother, 39 weeks pregnant, went into labor nearly an hour after the San Diego Padres game against the San Francisco Giants began.
“When I got there she was completely dilated and having to push,” Donna Borowy told MLB.com. “She was perfectly calm. She said, ‘I’m having my baby. Can I make it to the hospital?'”
She didn’t. The mother delivered her baby outside the team store on her way there. Borowy, a midwife who works for the Padres, aided the delivery with the help of some EMTs.
A team boasting neither a World Series title nor a no-hitter can at least point to Levi for bragging rights over other teams in one important category.
Typical S. California baseball fan. Not arriving until the 3rd inning. @Padres @PetcoPark — aceoaces (@aceoaces) September 25, 2015
I always said PetCo was a very family friendly ballpark. https://t.co/52NjKxTfgl

The September call-up attracting attention on his way outside of the stadium perhaps catalyzed further drama inside the venue. The Padres came from behind with runs in the eighth and ninth, the latter knocked in on an Alexi Amarista pinch-hit single, to defeat the Giants 5-4.
