Joe Biden Visits L.A. to Fundraise, Block Traffic

Joe Biden Finger Guns

LOS ANGELES — On Monday and Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden visits Los Angeles in search of more political cash. It is the first trip he has made to the area since September, when rumors still floated that he would seek the presidency in 2016.

Biden will spend time in the Arts District. He is scheduled to speak downtown from 3-4 p.m. at the L.A. Cleantech Incubator. The website for the L.A. Cleantech Incubator states, “Los Angeles has launched its cleantech business incubator to accelerate development of cleantech start-ups by offering flexible office space, CEO coaching and mentoring, and access to a growing network of experts and capital.”

In the evening, Biden will raise funds for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Other private meetings with wealthy donors will be interspersed with the public events.

Security will be tightened as a result of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris. Biden released a statement on Friday in response to the attacks which followed Obama Administration rhetoric; the statement eschewed mentioning the fact that the terrorists were Muslim, simply calling the murderers an “extremist network.”
