New York Times Study: Congressmen Are Richer Than Average Americans

A new study released by the Times shows that Congressmen are, on average, richer than the average American. Although their base pay is not extraordinarily high, the Times surmised that the wealth is partly because it is so expensive to run for office and that Congressmen are not bound by insider trading laws.
