Arguably the “fundamental transformation” of America under President Obama is most evident in its military. For example, today’s armed services accommodate open homosexuality. They are striving to thrust women into frontline combat duty.
And they require “sensitivity” lest offense be given to Muslims that effectively precludes servicemen and women from being trained to understand the threat posed by Islamists, their supremacist shariah doctrine and the jihad it commands.
Less sensitive, however, is the Obama military’s treatment of Christians, whose public expressions of their faith can be career-ending offenses.Now comes a new Pentagon directive permitting beards, turbans and other religious “accommodations” for uniformed personnel. While lip-service is paid to the need to preserve good order and discipline, it’s clearly secondary to the priority of transforming – and wrecking – the only military we have.
