Cook: Reid Obstructionism Hurt Senate Dems

NBC political analyst and editor and publisher of The Cook Political Report Charlie Cook argued that obstructionism by Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid hurt his party in the 2014 elections on MSNBC.

Cook said “Harry Reid exposed some of his Senators by protecting them, shielding them from casting tough votes. it would have given [Sen.] Mary Landrieu (D-LA), who still has a runoff to go, but [Sen.] Mark Pryor (D-AR) and give these folks an opportunity to create some distance, I mean they were having numbers like 97 percent voting with Obama.  They didn’t have chances to vote on a lot of big things, tough things, that would have given them chances to create some little distance.”
