Report: Burger King Paid Mayweather Nearly $1 Million to Be Part of Entourage

During Wednesday’s “Opening Bell with Maria Bartiromo” on Fox Business Network, Liz McDonald reported that Burger King paid nearly $1 million to advertise by putting their mascot, the Burger King, in boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s entourage in his match against Manny Pacquiao. The match set a record for most pay-per-view buys with over 3 million.

“If you look closely during Saturday’s fight you might have seen an interesting face in the entourage. Burger King reportedly paid nearly $1 million to get its king mascot into the ring side group.”
