Maher: Dem Illegal Immigration Position Is ‘You’re Here To Stay’ If You Get Into US, But It’s Not ‘Real Problem’

HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher argued that while illegal immigration isn’t “a real problem” the Democratic position on illegal immigration is “if you get across that river, you’re here to stay” on Friday.

Maher said, “[T]here has been a real change with the Democrats too. Mission creep, I would call it. I mean, I understand that their position was comprehensive immigration reform. Now, in front of Univision, it seems to have morphed into, if you get across that river, you’re here to stay.”

He later added, “This charade that goes on in the Republican Party that this is our biggest problem, that they’re pouring across the border. They’re not. In 1980, Mexican women were having seven children. Now they’re having two. our economy got better — I mean worse, their’s got better. So, it’s not a real problem. And when I look at the issues that animate Republicans, things like this, his birth certificate, Benghazi, voter fraud, they have one thing in common, they’re imaginary. They don’t really exist.”
