Valerie Jarrett: Was GOP Opposition to the Stimulus ‘Race,’ ‘Politics,’ or ‘Power?’

During an interview aired on Wednesday’s CNN special, “The Legacy of Barack Obama,” Obama Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett wondered of GOP opposition to the stimulus, “Was some of it race, or was it the politics, or the power?”

In a clip aired during a segment on the debate over the stimulus and GOP opposition to the stimulus Jarrett said, “Their desire to stop him was also going to have devastating consequences for the American people, and why? Was some of it race, or was it the politics, or the power?”
