Giuliani: Mueller Team Thought They Could ‘Frame’ Trump

During a Sunday interview on New York AM 970 radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani accused FBI special counsel Robert Mueller and his team of investigators of doing “some pretty outrageous things” in their investigation into alleged Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential election.

Giuliani told host John Catsimatidis that Mueller and his team thought they could do anything to get Trump for colluding with Russia — including “frame” him.

“[The Mueller team] did some pretty outrageous things because they thought they could do anything in order to either get President Trump or maybe even to frame him,” Giuliani stated. “I believe that when it’s all revealed, you go back to 2016, this whole Russian collusion thing did not happen by accident. I believe there were political enemies of the president who had an ability at the upper levels of some of our most important agencies to corrupt them and to use them, first, to prevent Donald Trump from being president. And then it was an insurance policy, to remove him.”
