On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher weighed in on the debate over 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden’s comments about working with segregationist senators by stating he wishes Biden would “pretend he was born in 2009.” Maher added that it’s “always easier and more fun to play the purist.”
Maher began by saying, “I wish Joe Biden…would just pretend he was born in 2009.”
Maher further stated that Democrats need to be focused on defeating Trump and later added, “There is a practicality in the African-American community that is completely lacking in the super woke white people.”
He also said, “It’s always easier and more fun to play the purist. You always get the applause for that.”
