Did a collective light bulb turn on in the minds of Saturday Night Live’s writing team this week?
“You know, this President Obama guy doesn’t really have a firm grasp of economic matters,” one writer suggests.
The next, growing bolder, says, “and he’s always using human props to make his point instead of accurate facts and figures …”
The third, standing up, declares, “and FLOTUS does seem to appear across the media much more than any of her predecessors.
And so we have last night’s opening sketch, a chance to see what a political comedy show can do when it puts aside its partisan blinders at long last.
