In an interview in Men’s Journal, Duck Dynasty star Si Robertson said, “It ain’t gun control we need, it’s sin control.”
Si’s brother and family patriarch Phil Robertson was there with him to chime in with “self control,” after which Si responded with, “self control and sin control.”
CBSHouston printed portions of the interview in which Si talked about his younger days when he was not really concerned with any kind of control: “I kept a fifth of whiskey in my pocket everywhere I went. I tried dope one time, okay, like marijuana, but why would you smoke something that makes you feel 100 years old? So, drugs wasn’t for me. In my mind it was alcohol and whoring around.”
Si is by no means alone. Besides always talking about guns and frequently shooting guns on the show, Robertson family members have voiced support for gun rights before.
In fact, Phil and his wife Kay “headlined a Friends of the NRA event in Oklahoma earlier this month.”
