Sharon Stone is filing suit against a Hollywood producer who wanted herto travel to Cuba to play Ernest Hemingway’s wife in a new movie titled Papa.
Stone claims that producer BobYari told Stone to claim she was traveling to Cuba for a “culturalendeavor” in order to get legal clearance from the U.S. government to makethe trip.
The suit alleges that Yari pressured Stone to lie on the governmentdocuments; when she refused, he emailed her, “NO ONE has EVER been jailedfor travel to Cuba.”
According to the lawsuit, Stone wouldn’t comply,so Yari fired her, recast the role, and wouldn’t ante up the $500,000 she waspromised. Additionally, Stone alleges that Yari told her to return the wig shewas to wear as Mary Hemingway.
