Babies Get in Free to NY 'Nymphomaniac' Screenings

The folks behind Landmark Theaters understand that parents often struggle to find babysitters for their young children. The chain’s Rattle & Reel program allows moms and dads to bring their babies into the theater without worrying about everyone shushing the child. The movie screenings are for parents, not the general populace.

A new Rattle & Reel selection slated to be held at a New York-based Landmark Theatre movie house hardly seems kid appropriate.

The Landmark Theatres website announced that they will be showing Lars Von Trier’s highly sexual “Nymphomaniac: Vol I” as part of their Rattle & Reel special, where adults pay normal admission but can bring their babies for free. The special is good for March 26 as well as April 2.

The film, which stars Shia LaBeouf, Stellan Skarsgard and Charlotte Gainsbourg, starts its limited release run later this month. The film, which was labeled NC-17 before the studio opted for the more commercially appealing “unrated” tag, follows a sex addict who reveals tales of her past erotic exploits.
