Celebrities are routinely targeted by social media pranksters who want us to believe the star in question has died during a freak accident.
Usually a confirmation tweet from the celebrity in question puts the matter to rest.
Today, R&B singer Trey Songz became the latest celebrity victim of social media. This time, the incorrect information had nothing to do with his alleged death. Instead, the prank claimed the singer had come out of the closet.
Songz opted to dismiss the rumor via his official Twitter account.
