Rita Ora Teases '50 Shades of Grey' Role on Red Carpet

Rita Ora is known for her singing, not her acting. But the British songstress already knows the cardinal rule of blockbuster movie making.

Tease … don’t tell.

Ora, who did eight auditions the land the role of Christian Grey’s sister in 50 Shades of Grey, took that rule to heart while being quizzed on the red carpet during Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards presentation.

I’ve seen some. I’ve definitely seen my parts,” she said. “I’m literally sworn to secrecy, but what I can say is expect something that would really make it worth your while.

The movie, based on the popular erotic novel, hit an early snag when Charlie Hunnam of Sons of Anarchy fame accepted, and then dropped, the lead role.

Ora is helping rebuild the project’s star power.

The role actually came to Ora in a roundabout way. She had originally approached the production hoping to work on the soundtrack, but luckily for her, they had a different idea. “It ended up with me being in the movie,” she said. “I’m not going to complain.”

The film hits theaters Feb. 14, 2015.
