On October 23 Breitbart News reached out to super model Chrissy Teigen’s US Congresswoman–Representative Carolyn Maloney (D-NY-Dist. 12)–to see if Maloney would like to make a comment on Teigen’s decision to bash America while Canada was under attack.
We contacted Maloney’s office, and her communication director Mike Morosi said the Congresswoman would not make a comment.
This is how the story unfolded:
On October 22 Breitbart News reported that super model Chrissy Teigen reacted to the attack in Canada by making a joke about gun control in America. When criticized for “minimizing” the attack on Canada, Teigen argued that she wasn’t minimizing the attack at all. Rather, she was knocking America.
She then sent this tweet: “Sorry you don’t understand that is a knock at america and our issues with gun control. No one is minimizing the Ottawa shooting.”
After Breitbart News contacted Maloney’s office and they said “no comment,” we restated the situation, explaining again that while Canada was under attack, Teigen, who calls Manhattan her “hood,” used that moment to mock America. We asked again if there would be a comment in light of these things, and communications director Morosi said again, “No comment.”
