Livingstone's Memoirs for Sale in £1 Shop

Ken Livingstone’s memoirs, which once retailed for £25, are being sold at a major discount retailer for just £1. The hardback book is a whopping 710 pages long, but despite its length and price, trade was not brisk at the branch visited by Breitbart London.

The book entitled “You Can’t Say That” was published by Faber and Faber. It chronologically goes through Livingstone’s controversial career, which was finally ended in 2012 when he failed to retake the mayoralty that he lost to Boris Johnson in 2008.

Livingstone caused outrage by backing Irish Republicans in the 1980s and criticising the shooting of Osama Bin Laden by US Special Forces. He was known as “Red Ken” due to his far left views, and was even forced to resign from the Labour Party when they tried to prevent him running for Mayor of London.

On the sleeve of the book it says: “No matter what you think of him, this is a book that has to be read in order to understand how Britain has changed since the 1960s.”  However, we have chosen not to name the retailer for fear it may encourage people!
