TEL AVIV — An attacker shouting “Allahu akbar,” or “Allah is great” stabbed four Israelis in the southern city of Kiryat Gat on Saturday.

Israel’s Magen David Adom ambulance service said the youngest victim was a 13-year-old girl who suffered stab wounds to her upper body.

Other victims include two women aged 56 and 44 who were moderately wounded, and a 51-year-old man.

One eye witness said the attacker, knife in hand, ran toward civilians shouting “allahu akbar” and then carried out the stabbing, Haaretz reported.

Israeli security forces were still searching for the assailant. The Jerusalem Post reported police here said they detained about 10 Palestinians who crossed into Israel illegally and were discovered at construction sites near the scene of the stabbing assault.
