Ynetnews reports:

A Border Police soldier was lightly wounded on Saturday morning when a 17-year-old from Hebron stabbed him in the head. The attacker was shot and killed.

The terrorist came to a checkpoint near the Cave of the Patriarchs, and raised the suspicions of Border Police soldiers. He showed them his identification, and then suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the soldiers in the head. The soldier pushed his attacker back, and the others shot and killed him.

The soldiers’ company commander praised their actions, saying, “We are witnessing more and more attempts to hurt civilians and security forces, who are keeping the Hebron area and its surroundings safe. The fighters’ awareness and the professional and quick response brought the event to a close with only minor injuries, and prevented harm coming to others, without a doubt.”
