TEL AVIV – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the tenth most admired man in the world among Americans, according to a new poll of 30 countries.

Netanyahu followed the Dalai Lama at 9th place, Donald Trump at 8th, Stephen Hawking at 4th, Pope Francis at 2nd, and Barack Obama at 1st place in the U.S.

The poll, conducted by UK-based YouGov, asked respondents in 30 countries the question, “Thinking about people alive in the world today, which [man or woman] do you most admire?”

Netanyahu beat Johnny Depp, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Brad Pitt in the U.S.

However, he failed to make the cut on the lists of all other countries.

The most admired American Jew is Sen. Bernie Sanders at 6th place, followed by 16th-placed Jon Stewart.

The most admired woman in America is First Lady and wife to the most admired man, Michelle Obama. Hillary Clinton placed second and Ellen DeGeneres third. Pakistani women’s education activist Malala Yousafzai is fourth.

In the rest of the countries polled, Angelina Jolie topped the list followed by Great Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, and Michelle Obama respectively. Among most admired men, billionaire and philanthropist Bill Gates is in the lead, followed by Barack Obama, Chinese premier Xi Jinping, martial arts film star Jackie Chan, and Stephen Hawking.

All three U.S. presidential candidates, Clinton, Sanders, and Trump made both the U.S. and global top 20 lists.
