The Jerusalem Post reports: A suspected terrorist on Thursday afternoon attempted to stab Israeli forces stationed near Einav, an Israeli settlement in the northern West Bank, the IDF Spokesperson’s Office reported.
According to initial reports, security forces at the scene shot and subdued the female Palestinian assailant.
Initial investigations revealed that the knife-wielding Palestinian woman arrived to a junction guarded by soldiers, threatening them with her weapon. The soldiers initially acted to arrest the suspect and eventually fired shots at her.
No injuries on the Israeli side were initially reported
While the frequency of lone wolf violence that plagued Israel in recent months has simmered down, sporadic attacks continue to occur.
