At Least Five Wounded in Suspected Terrorist Shooting in Central Israel

Haaretz reports: Eight people were admitted to hospital on Thursday in a suspected shooting attack in the central Israeli city of Petah Tikvah.

The incident took place near the city’s open-air market. Medics from Magen David Adom emergency responders treated three people injured by gunshot wounds to their lower bodies. Israel Police arrested one suspect and said the incident may be a terror attack. They are continuing to investigate the incident’s circumstances.

The suspect was caught by civilians with a gun in his hand, Israel Police reported.
