The Algemeiner reports:  A Haredi teenager allegedly threatened with assault in a London public park on Sunday said he believed he was targeted because of his Jewish faith, the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) reported.

The 16-year-old, who was reportedly wearing a black hat traditional in the ultra-Orthodox community, was sitting on a bench in Springfield Park when two teens described as “Asian” and of approximately 14 years of age grabbed the Jewish boy’s hat and bicycle. When he asked them to stop, the boys allegedly threatened to “beat” him.

Passerby intervened and both local police and Stamford Hill Shomrim, a volunteer Jewish security group, were called to the scene.
