TEL AVIV — Palestinian terrorist organizations praised the   terrorist attack carried out Tuesday by a 37-year-old Palestinian who murdered three Israelis.

This while Munir al-Jagoub, the director of the media department of Fatah, the movement led by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, squarely Abbasblamed the Jewish state for the Palestinian carnage, claiming “Israel alone is responsible for the responses of Palestinians to the crimes of the occupation.”

According to al-Jagoub, “If Israel continues its aggression against the Palestinian people, it should expect more violence. Israel’s daily violations against our people everywhere are the reason for the whole cycle of violence.”

The Fatah spokesman claimed that “Israel must understand the consequences of the continued destruction of homes, the expulsion of Palestinians, the incursion of the settlers into the al-Aqsa Mosque and the cold-blooded killing of Palestinians at check points.”

He added, “The attack comes after the Israelis have done away with any notion of peace and in the absence of any political horizon and the insistence on the option of violence and force – violence that doesn’t differentiate between children, seniors or women, crimes that have become part of every-day life for Palestinians confronted by the Israeli machine of war and oppression.”

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem claimed the attack was a response to attempts to “Judaize” Jerusalem.

“The attack is part of a chain of actions of the Jerusalem intifada and it proves that no plans to Judaize Jerusalem will change reality,” said Qassem. “Jerusalem is Arab and Islamic and the residents of Jerusalem will defend Jerusalem with their bodies and their blood.”

Iran-backed Islamic Jihad Spokesman Daoud Shihab said, “The attack is a practical response to the attempts of the occupation to control the Al Aqsa Mosque. Resistance against the occupation must be escalated and more attacks must be carried out.”

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine declared “The Jerusalem intifada continues until it achieves its goals, despite all the attempts to suppress it.”

The Democratic Front also called on the Palestinian organizations to escalate the “resistance” – a commonly used euphemism for terrorism – against Israel and “all the racist projects of Judaization.”

The terrorist attack took place shortly after 7 a.m. local Jerusalem time at the rear entrance to Har Adar, a small Jewish community about nine miles northwest of Jerusalem.
