TEL AVIV – Arab media outlets reported that Israel attacked a number of Hezbollah targets along the Lebanon-Syria border on Sunday night; reports that the Iran-backed terror group said had no foundation.

According to Al Arabiya, the strikes took place in the Beqaa valley near the town of Baalbek in east Lebanon by the Syrian border. Lebanese media outlet Al-Jadeed reported that residents heard the sounds of sonic booms in the area caused by Israeli jets.

The IAF has not confirmed the reports.

The Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group denied the reports. The Hezbollah-affiliated Al Mayadeen newspaper quoted a spokesman for the terror group saying that neither Hezbollah nor Syrian forces were attacked by Israel.

The news comes a few days after the IDF admitted that it bombed a nuclear reactor in Syria in 2007.
