Crazed Otter Goes on Restaurant Rampage

A crazed, wounded otter went on the rampage at a burger joint in Alesund, Norway yesterday. Terrified dinners fled Skippy’s Fast Food, fearing the animal would turn on them.

The otter was breathing heavily as it staggered into the restaurant and crawled across the floor bleeding. It was said to have a large gash on its leg and wounds to its face. Police believe the injuries were sustained from contact with a boat propeller.

Skippy’s owner, Mohamed Rashed, claimed to have never seen anything similar, despite living in Norway for 16 years. He told TV2 Norway that he rang the Police and helped to evacuate customers.

Mr Rashed said: “We did not know what kind of animal it was. I have never seen an animal like that in my life. I was terrified it was going to attack.”

Local wildlife officer Håkan Sunde, was the only person injured, when his finger was bitten by the animal.  He said “I tried first to coax it into the cage, without much luck.

“Then I chose to grab its neck with my hands, and that was when it saw it’s chance… Now I’m heading to the doctor to get a tetanus injection.”

The otter had to be put down due to the injuries it sustained from the earlier motorboat incident.
