Veteran Tory Activist: 'Every Muslim Should be Expelled, Every Mosque Destroyed'

A long-time Conservative Party activist last night came under fire on Twitter for claiming that “every single Muslim should be expelled” from the United Kingdom.

Stephen Lees, who describes himself on Twitter as a Tory, is the former Secretary of Coulsdon South Conservatives. He has been canvassing in Coulsdon for the Conservative Party for over 40 years.

But last night Lees’ was cast a racist and ‘unBritish’ for a series of offence remarks about British Muslims and immigrants to the UK.

UKIP Daily originally reported the comments where Lees said “the rest” should be “driven to extinction” and where he referred to those with foreign ethnicities as “wogs who happened to have been born here”.

Lees’ remarks were immediately challenged and exposed by UKIP councillor Donna Rachel Edmunds, and slammed by Tory Youth Chairman Oliver Cooper.

Cooper said of Lees’ original tweet: “That’s an absurd position and one that is profoundly un-British.”

When quizzed on his party affiliation, Lees said: “Indeed I am a Tory, working for the Party since 1969. So why split the Tory vote and let Labour in?”

The Conservative Party has not yet commented on the matter.
