SANA’A, Oct.03(Saba)- Interior Minister Abdu Hussein al-Tarib has discussed with Head of the EU delegation and British ambassador to Yemen the security cooperation between Yemen, EU and Britain.
The meeting touched on the support provided by the EU and Britain to develop the work and performance of the Yemeni police services.
In the meeting, al-Tarib praised the existing cooperation relations between Yemen and the EU and the UK.
For their part, the EU delegation head and British ambassador hailed the efforts of the interior ministry in Yemen to maintain the security and stability and the services provided by the ministry to the citizens.
They commended the Minister’s wise decision, which was issued during the past few days, directing the police to cooperate with members of the people’s committees of the Ansar Allah to secure and protect the public and private institutions and property and residential neighborhoods.
The two ambassadors reaffirmed that the EU and UK would continue to support Yemen in the police areas so as to contribute to the completion of the transition stage .
