Protestors March Against Air Strikes on Iraq Jihadists

Protestors will take to the streets of London Saturday to demonstrate against Britain’s involvement in air strikes on Islamic State (IS) group targets in Iraq.

The Stop the War Coalition is organising the march through the city which will go to Downing Street via Parliament Square and feature speakers including comedian Russell Brand.

The march comes the day after a video emerged showing the apparent murder of British aid worker Alan Henning, a former taxi driver from Manchester, by the IS group.

Britain has eight Tornado jets flying out of Cyprus in combat operations in Iraq.

Parliament voted last week for British forces to join US-led raids on targets in Iraq but not Syria.
