Royal Protection Officer Arrested after Ammo Found at Buckingham Palace

A Royal Protection Officer has been arrested for stockpiling ammunition in his personal lockers in Buckingham Palace.

The Metropolitan Police believes that the ammunition came from its own supplies.

ITV News reports that the man was not assigned to protect any particular member of the Royal Family, and that he is being held on suspicion of misconduct in a public office and unlawful possession of ammunition.

He is currently in police custody and has been suspended from duty. His home is being searched.
