Britain’s newly-appointed morality police are exercising their powers to censor pornography made and consumed in Britain. Government officers are forcing one dominatrix offline and attempting to close down a second, with menaces of punitive fines for lack of compliance.

The two dominatrixes, who operate in the UK and publish videos on-line, have been found to contravene the new government rules. One of the pair apparently yielded immediately, after the government showed she had made insufficient efforts to prevent her material being viewed by children. Megara Furie said of the action against her: “The banned material, as far as I am aware was one ball kick, which resulted in the equivalent of a shaving cut and lots of blood because it was a testicle.

“I was happy to take that down. It was an eye-opener and I’ll now be more selective about my content. I wasn’t aware I was breaching the rules”.

A second dominatrix, Mistress R’eal, was being less cooperative with authorities and, reports The Independent, is facing a £10,000 fine and a ban on ‘broadcasting’ online.

The Authority for Television on Demand (ATVOD) is using powers given to it by new government legislation, voted through at the end of last year to bring legislation for pornography ‘broadcast’ online by British companies in line with that available to buy in high-street sex shops. What can be bought on DVD in these shops has long been tightly controlled by the state, but what can be viewed on-line has been until now a free-for-all.

Giving a market advantage to foreign porn companies, the government banned British films which featured the following acts, as reported by Breitbart London in December:

  • Spanking
  • Caning
  • Aggressive whipping
  • Penetration by any object “associated with violence”
  • Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of consent)
  • Urolagnia (known as “water sports”)
  • Female ejaculation
  • Strangulation
  • Facesitting
  • Fisting

Speaking at the time of the ban, Myles Jackman, legal adviser to freedom of expression group Backlash said: “Pornography is the canary in the coalmine of free speech: it is the first freedom to die. If this assault on liberty is allowed to go unchallenged, other freedoms will fall as a consequence… This declaration of State censorship will affect millions of consenting adults who choose to view British pornography.

“It will impose an unnecessary trade barrier, which has already caused independent UK producers to shut down and result in a significant loss of revenue to the Treasury. It is practically unworkable as it can be circumvented by proxy servers. It has implications for all forms of freedom of expression on the internet.

“Of particular concern in terms of loss of freedom is the underlying intent to allow undesirable foreign websites to be blocked under UK ISPs’ filtering systems. This has serious implications for freedom of information. The fight back must start here.”
