Is Obama Submissive to Islam?

A few weeks ago, I referred to President Obama as a “dhimmi president,” a subservient kowtower to Islamic power. Maybe it’s time to rethink that designation. He’s not a dhimmi. He’s a spineless, supine, surrendering subject of submission – in other words, a dhimmi-plus.

How else to explain Obama’s complacency with regard to a crescent-shaped monument (which Alec Rawls advances in “Crescent of Betrayal: Dishonoring the Heroes“ his claim that the memorial is in fact the world’s largest open-air mosque), being built on National Park Service federal land at the Shanksville, PA Flight 93 crash site, while at the same time ignoring the desecration, theft and need to replace the Mojave Desert War Memorial Cross (our nation’s sole WWI federal memorial) also on National Park Service federal land? And how else to explain Obama’s stumping on behalf of the Ground Zero mosque while at the same time ignoring multiple written requests from veterans’ organizations and a host of distinguished American citizens including Speaker Newt Gingrich, Senator Rick Santorum, a few Medal of Honor recipients, Major Generals, Vice Admirals and many other esteemed citizens, asking that he restore the Memorial Cross?

Are Americans paying attention to this administration’s overt favoritism of Islam over Christianity and all other religions? Is the press complicit in hiding it?

Assume for a moment that you’re not a pusillanimous toady for Islamism around the globe. Assume instead that you have a modicum of common sense. You are presented with the following situation: a seven-foot memorial cross, placed in the middle of the Mojave Desert three-quarters of a century ago to honor the fallen of World War I, is desecrated and stolen. The presence of the cross on National Park Service federal land presents no legal issues, as the Supreme Court ruled it could stay in response to an ACLU lawsuit stating it had to come down. Even Justice Anthony Kennedy, a political moderate at best, said the monument “evokes thousands of small crosses in foreign fields marking the graves of Americans who fell in battles, battles whose tragedies are compounded if the fallen are forgotten.” It is a felony to desecrate a federal memorial.

Do you:

(A) Replace the cross in honor of the 117,000 Americans who perished on the fields of Europe to preserve our country; or

(B) Leave the Mojave Memorial empty and instead protest that only the original cross is legally unproblematic, even when the stolen cross was not the original cross?

If you are President Obama, you choose B. But then, that would make this a trick question, since Obama isn’t a human being with common sense – if he were, he would not claim to be a Christian, having attended Jeremiah Wright’s nauseating hate fests for 20 long years, whose messages are anything but Christian and thus people who are Christian (read: the vast majority of Americans) are not fooled. He appears to be a nothing – perhaps an atheist, but certainly someone with Marxist leanings who acts as if he believes that any symbolism evoking Christianity is the root of imagistic evil. Why else would Mr. Obama insist that a cross and the symbol “IHS”, which represents Jesus, be covered during his recent speech at Georgetown University?

Did the press cover this act?

Despite the fact that I – along with the above-named veterans organizations, major politicians, distinguished business leaders and eminent citizens – wrote two letters to President Obama explaining that by leaving the Mojave Memorial without its cross, he would be declaring open season for the desecration of religious symbols in America while also disrespecting the sacrifices of our valiant veterans, Obama has not granted even the courtesy of a reply to either letter.

Obama refuses to take action regarding the stolen cross – which has been gone for well over five months – even though on September 28, the House voted unanimously to support the resolution by Congressmen Jerry Lewis (R-Redlands), Howard P. McKeon (R-Santa Clarita) and Ken Calvert (R-Corona) condemning the theft of the Mojave Cross memorial and urging federal officials to allow it to be replaced. At the same time, Obama continues to accept the Shanksville 9/11 Memorial which, in the shape of a crescent, looks far more like an Islamic crescent than a memorial to the heroic dead who stopped Flight 93 from hitting the White House. The site features an enormous red crescent of maple trees pointed toward Mecca; this crescent’s original title was the “Crescent of Embrace” which was subsequently changed for the obvious reasons. The memorial 93-foot tower is also open on one side, forming a second crescent, just in case we didn’t get the point.

Our dhimmi-plus president is a man of super-sensitivity when it comes to Muslim feelings – hence his gallant defense of the First Amendment with regard to the Ground Zero mosque. Michelle Obama was deployed to Shanksville this past 9/11, where she praised the planned memorial in predictably glowing terms. There has been no such defense or deployment with regard to the stolen cross-shaped memorial in the Mojave desert. Nor has there been any effort whatsoever to replace it, even though Mr. Obama stands as Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Services, and thus he especially should honor those fallen in war.

Let’s face it. It’s because Obama clearly doesn’t want to replace the cross. President Obama is militant when it comes to anti-Christian viewpoints, and he’s mellow when it comes to his pro-Islamic viewpoints. Those two attitudes merge in his decision to ignore the Mojave Desert War Memorial Cross– one seven-foot monument in the middle of over 1.6 million barren acres in the desert — while simultaneously pushing two symbols evocative of Islamic dominance on America’s secular holy sites, one of which will stand in the middle of one of the world’s most populous cities.

The super-dhimmi isn’t merely a religious drifter or an atheist; he’s whatever he is with a pro-Islamist agenda. The bodies of American men lying in the fields of Flanders cry out for remembrance, and Obama lets them cry. But he’s quick to remember the feelings of the same people who provided material aid and support to the terrorists who murdered our fellow Americans on 9/11.
