UN Watch–an essential human rights watchdog–has attempted to downplay last week’s appearance by the Hamas terrorist group at the UN Human Rights council, apparently to spare the Obama administration embarrassment as Obama seeks continued funding from Congress for UN-related activities.
UN Watch maintained that Hamas spoke to a “virtually empty room,” but that claim–aided by a strategic photo angle–is contradicted by another photograph of the meeting (above), which shows the Hamas representative speaking to a near-full house at a side event at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
