Ahmadinejad Criticizes US in Wake of Newtown Massacre

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, never one to pass up an opportunity to attack Western culture, is offering “advice” to the United States in the aftermath of the Newtown, Connecticut tragedy:

Is it not time to seriously and carefully look for the cause of such stunning violent acts and to fundamentally reconsider the policies and plans that are devised based on the material interests and profiteering ambitions of a certain group and which have various destructive effects on the society and particularly innocent children and youths.

The bitter memory of the Colorado cinema shooting and other killing frenzies in this country is still fresh in the memories of the public, but the occurrence of another incident, which is much more terrible, has increased concerns about the continuation of this trend and attracted world public attention to causes of such bitter incidents in American society.

This is the same man who came to power because of his career with the movement known as the Basiji. Not only did Ahmadinejad serve as one of the Basiji instructors during the Iraq-Iran war, he has appeared in public wearing his Basiji uniform.

And what did the Basiji instructors and those compassionate people like Ahmadinejad teach children during that war?

500,000 plastic keys were imported from Taiwan to be placed around the necks of children as young as 12, who were taught that by walking across mine

The semi-official Iranian daily Ettela’at wrote:

In the past we had child-volunteers: 14-, 15-, and 16-year-olds. They went into the mine fields. Their eyes saw nothing. Their ears heard nothing. And then, a few moments later, one saw clouds of dust. When the dust had settled again, there was nothing more to be seen of them. Somewhere, widely scattered in the landscape, there lay scraps of burnt flesh and pieces of bone. Before entering the mine fields, the children [now] wrap themselves in blankets and they roll on the ground, so that their body parts stay together after the explosion of the mines and one can carry them to the graves.

That the same man who works with mullahs who harbor mad dreams of eradicating the State of Israel, the same man who worked with those who blew children to bits, is offering advice to the United States on anything at all is monstrously offensive.
